if you are responsible for the maintenance of any outdoor lighting system, these are indispensable. lfyou’re trying to test the lights during the day, the photocell will cause the light to shut off very quickly.With High Pressure Sodium bulbs, they cycle on and off when they are starting to fail. You won’t be able tosee that before the photocell shuts off the light. In my application, the photocells on the lights wereredundant, since the lighting circuits were activated by a separate photocell, so l left these on the lights
I have to say the pricing scheme for these is unconscionable. lf you buy 8, the price is $5 each. They simplythrow 8 individually-wrapped caps in a box. lf you only want to buy one, the price is $11.
