¡Indispensable!
Si usted es responsable del mantenimiento de cualquier sistema de iluminación exterior, estos son indispensables. Si intenta probar las luces durante el día, la fotocélula hará que la luz se apague muy rápidamente. Con las bombillas de sodio de alta presión, se encienden y apagan cíclicamente cuando empiezan a fallar. No podrá notar esto antes de que la fotocélula apague la luz. En mi aplicación, las fotocélulas de las luces eran redundantes, ya que los circuitos de iluminación se activaban mediante una fotocélula independiente, así que las dejé encendidas.
Debo decir que el precio de estas es desorbitado. Si compras 8, el precio es de $5 cada una. Simplemente incluyen 8 cápsulas envueltas individualmente en una caja. Si solo quieres comprar una, el precio es de $11.

I received this set through the Amazon Vine program, but I actually had already purchased the same pair myself a few months ago, and I was excited to get more. These automatic lighting sensors work like a charm. They are easy to install by simply following the included instructions, and once they are in, they just work. No fuss, no adjustments needed.
I have them installed outdoors at a beach home, where they are exposed to high salinity, humidity, and rain. Even in those tough conditions, they have performed perfectly for over six months with no issues at all. The lights come on right at dusk and turn off at dawn, just as described. They are also very sturdy and weather resistant, which is essential in my location.
So far, I am extremely happy with their performance. I will update if anything changes, but based on my experience, these are a great value and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable outdoor lighting sensor.

The photocell that controls my dock’s fishing light broke a week back, and I ordered this 2-pack from Amazon (1 for installation, 1 spare).
This photocell is an exact replacement for the one I bought from the hardware store a few years ago. The wiring of this photocell is tin-coated copper, which will provide superior corrosion protection around my saltwater environment.
Wiring it up was simple, and after I had it wired up, I put the power to it to see if my light illuminated. When I switched the photocell on, my light illuminated briefly until the capacitors inside the photocell charged, and once charged the light turned off as it was supposed to. When I took my hand and covered the photocell sensor, about 45 seconds later my light turns on (you can see this in the reflection off the water in my video).
Overall I’m very pleased with this photocell, believe it is a fair value, and will order again as needed.

Trabajó maravillosamente
Compré uno para reemplazar el sensor de luz roto de una luz exterior de garaje. La reparación es sencilla si sigues las instrucciones. El costo es mínimo comparado con reemplazar la luz completa.

This one is way bigger than most photocells I’ve seen. Not sure why.
I planned on putting this on a light fixture but due to the size it didn’t really fit anywhere. Either way it works. Just make sure to get the other part for this
